Overview
Every team will play 2 games / week spread over 3 nights:
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
Approx.Time 6:15-7:45 pm
Fields: Emily Carr PS, Montcalm SS, Blessed Kateri PS
Season starts: week following long weekend
Season end: Last Thursday in July (FUN NIGHT wrap up)
We are aligned with Oakridge Minor baseball for TBALL and play games with their association.
Program Improvements
For the coming season we are looking at incorporating more "skills" and teaching into each night. We are working with some external resources to develop a TBALL Coaching handout to help guide coaches through practices and ensure we are keying in on key baseball skills, but also doing so in a fun and interactive way. We feel that this has been missing in recent years and we are hoping for a more engaged evening and increased development. There will still be game play during every event.
Call for Coaches
We are only successful with great coaches. If you are interested in either being a Head coach or Assistant coach please reach out to me right away. We will have 10 teams and thus need 10 head coaches. The role is important but not overly time consuming. Your main duties are to ensure that games/practices run smoothly and kids are engaged as best as you can. All equipment is stored at the diamonds so there is nothing to lug from game to game. Previous baseball experience is not required.
Team Requests
I am happy to take team/player requests and we do our best to accommodate all requests. Please do NOT email your request until I send out an email asking for team requests. I will so do in the next week or two. Once I send out the email I will give everyone 48 hours to submit the request.
Required Equipment
NORTH LONDON will NO LONGER BE SUPPLYING HELMETS
All players are required to purchase their own helmet in order to play and there will not be extra helmets in the equipment bags
Glove
Running Shoes / Cleats
We provide uniforms for all participants. Hat, Jersey and pants. We do our best to have a wide assortment of sizes to best accommodate all players.
Communications
There is a subscribe option under the calendar on the website. We encourage parents to sign up to keep up to date e.g. Cancellations, Specific Events,etc.
