Solid pitching, shaky defence, patient batters results in a narrow win for NLB Mosquito Red
North London Mosquito Red had an up and down night, but were able to pull out a comeback win with solid pitching and patient batters.

The night started with the NLB Red team putting up three quick runs in the first. Daniel Shoemaker and Adrian Jones got the RBI's to get the offence going. Michael Ashton pitched well in the bottom half of the inning, but shaky defence resulted in Lucan Ilderton (Bycraft) putting up six runs. Lucan kept their early momentum going with a quick shut out inning.

Cohen Stewart-Banks pitched two solid innings, allowing a run, and helping himself out with a comebacker put-out to first. Daniel Shoemaker helped with an unassisted double play. North got the bats going in the fourth, putting up seven runs, but allowed Lucan-Ilderton back into the game with a lot of errors in the field. They put up six runs to take the lead 12-11 going into the last inning.

With patient batters, we took advantage of some walks, to get a seven run inning. Jacob Blaha pitched well to shut the door on a comeback, getting the win for North London. A solid night for North London.

Next on the schedule is North London 3 visiting the NLB Mosquito Red team at North 1 on Friday night. Hopefully the NLB red team can shore up the defence to keep on rolling.
