Defence key in big win vs. North 3
It was a strong defensive performance for North Mosquito red on Saturday Afternoon, as they beat north Mosquito (team 3) 12-2.
In a game that went only 3 innings, Jacob Blaha pitched the entire game, allowing 2 unearned runs in the process. He helped himself with a couple key defensive plays, including a double play fly out tag out play to Jacob Byloo.
The team made a number of key outs, including a bullet throw from left fielder Austin Ziegler to 2nd baseman Cohen Stewart-Banks, which resulted in the baserunner getting caught in a run down. Cohen and Jacob Byloo ran the run-down perfectly, and made the out.
North Mosquito team had the bats going again, putting up 12 runs in another big offensive performance.
The next game is Friday night, when North red hosts Oakridge 4 at North one field.
