With four come from behind wins The North Fury won the A final in the peewee division last Sunday.
After three hard fought wins against Ilderton teams the Fury went up against Oakridge one in the final. In a back and forth game that featured great pitching and solid defence The Fury went up six runs going into the 6th and last inning. Oakridge slugged their way all the way back to tie the game at 14 apiece.
With the bases loaded and one out Ethan Bancroft smashed a shot through the Oakridge defence to score Devin Young with the winning run.
With two wins and a save Max Skinner was named The Fury M.V.P. for the playoffs.
A true team effort was needed to win all games.
Coach LaBelle would like to give a special thanks to Coach Skinner and the other Coach Labelle for all their hard work this year.
Anita Watkins Photography provided many amazing pictures for all the kids and gets the teams heart felt gratitude for being such a fabulous sponsor.

Today is a great day for baseball as the major midget nationals 97 team is undefeated so far in the LDBA championship
They are going for win number 4 against LONDON West this morning
In a true come back tale our 96 Midgets fell behind to Southwest this morning – trailing 13-6 at one point the Nats dug deep and walked it off in the bottom of the 7th to win 14-13 …. The biggest sigh of relief was expelled by Coach Pinelli – the boys play Ilderton this afternoon – 3pm at Pulham …. Our 97 Midgets are undefeated in the playoffs so far and face a tough opponent this afternoon in EBBA – the league pennant winners ….
The weekend of baseball playoffs started Thursday night with our two eldest Nationals teams competing in the City Championship. Our 96 Midgets are off to a tough start after losing to the Tin Caps in 9 innings, while our 97 Midgets won convincingly over the Southwest Scorpions.
Our Midget house league teams wrap their season up with their playoffs starting tonight, while the peewee house league also starts their championship weekend in championship play hosted by Lucan/Ilderton.
We wish all of our North London teams the greatest success this weekend!
The 2014 TBall season recently wrapped up with two great Fun Nights featuring a friendly skills competition and an awards ceremony.
This year North London TBall had historically high registration. With approximately 160 participants across both the Junior and Senior levels. Each level consisted of 6 teams. With a limited number of fields and an amazing amount of teams, scheduling was chaotic, but thanks to great parents and coaches we were able to ensure each and every team played 2 games per week.
As well this past season saw the aligning of the North London and Oakridge Senior programs. Each week two games were played between organizations at Emily Carr fields. This was a great development opportunity for the players of both associations and helped alleviate our own field availability issues. We hope to continue this association for the 2015 season.
The goal of the North London Tball program is provide a fun and rewarding introduction to baseball and help introduce the basic skills necessary to play. It is our hope that kids fall in love with the game of baseball and that this is the beginning of a lifetime of participation in the great game.
Thanks again to all of the coaches and parents that made the season so successful. We look forward to the 2015 season and wish all those graduating players the most success as they enter the Rookie baseball program!
Special thank you to Tim Horton’s for their continued support of our youngest Nationals!
On Sunday August 10th a week of grueling play off baseball had whittled down 11 teams to just 2. On Baseball Day in Canada our North 3 Championship field hosted Ilderton vs North in a champions dual. With both teams exhausted and Ilderton out of pitching, the final result was North as Champions and Ilderton as Finalists! Congratulations to both teams on a well played game. More details on the mosquito house league wrap up to follow.
