Our Bantam Nationals were eliminated from the Provincial Challenge today by EBBA. The Nats lost a 2-1 heart breaker in a must win game. We wish EBBA success at the Bantam Provincials in Sault Ste Marie on Labour Day weekend.
Please be advised that according to Sections P1.12 & P7.1 of the Baseball Ontario Constitution, players registered with Baseball Ontario may not “register” with a non-recognized baseball program during the current baseball year which runs from April 15 until Labour Day annually.
For the purposes of this rule, the term “registered” means any player who signs, registers or participates on a regular basis with a non-recognized baseball program without first securing permission from the Baseball Ontario Board of Directors.
Any player that participates in any of the above mentioned baseball activities shall be immediately suspended by Baseball Ontario and ineligible to participate in any Baseball Ontario sanctioned events which include, but are not limited to, Elimination Tournaments, OBA Championship Tournaments, PBLO, and Baseball Canada National Championships.
Any player who wishes to participate in any tryout, practice, evaluation or other baseball activity with a team that does not currently hold their playing rights must first acquire, in writing, a release from the local association(s) that hold their playing rights AND a release from the Affiliated Association where the player resides (ie: the LDBA). Once the releases are secured from the local associations, the player must then request permission from the Baseball Ontario Board of Directors to participate.
Additionally, according to P1.7 any coach or manager who allows a player to participate in any tryout, practice, evaluation or other baseball activity with a team that does hold their playing rights without the required authorizations shall be subject to suspension by Baseball Ontario as well.

Our Peewee Nats were up against last years AA Provincial Champions this morning. Our Nationals played extremely well and although they lost to Niagara they learned a lot about competing at the top level and will use that positive experience as they continue to play, work and practice hard heading towards their A level provincial championships on Labour Day Weekend. Keep up the great effort boys and congrats on a very respectable showing at the AA Niagara tourney!
The Midget 96′s ran into a super tough opponent this afternoon in the Georgetown Eagles in the final of the Chatham tournament and were crowned the 2014 Chatham Finalists! Our Nats played great baseball to earn their way into the final. Next up OBA Challenge weekend. Congrats boys on a great tourney.
