MINOR MIDGET NATIONALS, 2016 (North London Baseball)

The Minor Midget Nationals finished the round robin play 2-1 and were just edged out of the Pool A title by Ajax.  The Nationals now move to the B Playoff Pool and are the top seed in the pool.  Our semi-final opponent is Halton Hills at 10am at Ireland Diamond 1 (2315 Headon Forest Dr, Burlington, ON L7M 3Z1).  From the hotel go north on Guelph Line.  Go past Upper Middle and turn right onto Longmeadow Road.  Go about 400 m and turn left onto Headon Forest Drive.  Go to the second parking lot as that one is closer to diamond 1.

The Minor Midget Nationals opened up the Burlington Dog Days of Summer tournament with a 4-1 victory over the host Burlington Bulls.  The Nationals took a 1-0 lead in the third inning and never looked back.  Aidan Peters took the win with a 100 pitch, 6 strike out complete game victory.  Theo Monk opened the scoring with Cooper Brabrook getting the RBI.  Nathan Regier and Max Smith scored in the 4th on a 2 RBI single by Brendan Patrick.  Austin Hopkins finished the scoring in the 6th with Ollie Battel getting the RBI.  The Bulls scored one in the 9th but two final strike outs sealed the win. ...

The schedule came out last night and this is when our games are: Friday - 8:30pm vs Brampton - Vaughan Grove Diamond 1 Saturday - 11:30 vs Seaway Surge - Vaughan Grove Diamond 2 Saturday - 5:00pm vs Etobicoke - Vaughan Grove Diamond 1 Quarter Finals - Saturday 8:00pm Semi Finals - Sunday 9:00am Finals - Sunday 12 noon All Games are at Vaughan Grove diamonds located on Martin Grove Road south of Hwy 7.  The entrance for the diamonds is at the second set of lights south of Hwy 7 - go just past the school.  For the players who went to this tournament last year, it is the diamonds we ...

We have an exhibition game lined up for next Sunday instead of having a practice.  We will play the Tecumseh Major Midget team on Pulham at 4:00pm  I will make the change to the team calendar.
