2018 Baseball Season Update
Submitted By NLBA on Wednesday, April 18, 2018
Thank-you to everyone that has registered to date. Our numbers are once again very strong which means that lots of people are excited and anxious for the start of the baseball season.

Please see below for a few updates  and key dates for the coming season.

Blastball, Tee Ball and Jr Rookie

The season start date is traditionally the last week of May for each of these divisions.  We will do our best to stick to this schedule although due to some field upgrades some divisions may not begin until the first week of June.  There will be an opportunity to make "player/team requests" prior to the start of the season.  The league convener will send out an email asking for requests closer to the start of play and at the end of the registration period.  Stay tuned!

House League Baseball - ALL DIVISIONS

House League Assessments were previously scheduled for April 28th. However due to the poor weather this spring, we are not allowed on to the city fields until May 7th. We are therefore cancelling the assessments for 2018.  When registering this year parents were asked to rate their child on a few key skills. We will use this information to help create balanced teams.

We recognize that this is an imperfect scenario and therefore we request your patience and understanding early in the season as we do our best to shuffle teams to create the most fair and competitive situation for all.

Representative (Rep) Baseball

Congratulations to all players selected to a Rep baseball team for the coming season. We wish you the best of luck this coming season.

Select baseball tryouts will start shortly for both Mosquito and Pewee divisions.
