The 14U Rep Nationals brought home another championship this past weekend going undefeated throughout the 5 game showcase! This is the Team's 3rd tournament win going an impressive 14-0-1.
The Nat's were in Mississauga and had unfinished business to take care of as last year's championship was cancelled due to weather.
Round robin play kicked off Friday night and the Nat's came out swinging with an 11-0 W over a tough Brantford team and continued the momentum for the first game Saturday coming out on top 12-2. They knew they'd be in for tough match-up in game 3 against a hard-hitting Kanata team but the boys prevailed yet again. The game was a back-and-forth battle and with the Nat's being down by a run heading into the bottom half of the last inning, they walked it off with a 3 run dinger which punched their card into the championship bracket on Sunday.
The boys came in hot Sunday with a convincing 11-1 mercy in the semis and 7-1 win over an undefeated Guelph team to clinch the prize. Lights-out pitching, aggressive base running and solid defense lifted the Nat's to Victory!
