North Mosquito Red go 1-1 on the day, earning a split
North Mosquito Red went one and one on the day, battling hard against both teams.

In game one, we got the bats going early, putting up seven runs in the first. It looked like we would be tough to beat. Unfortunately, we allowed five in the bottom of the first, and let the Oakridge team back in the game. When Oakridge put in their star pitcher, our bats went silent. We battled hard, but lost a tight game to a solid opponent. They walked us off in the last inning. Cohen Stewart-Banks and Adrian Jones looked good on the mound, and Jones helped himself out with solid defence on the mound.

In game two, we had another solid start, with an opening home run by Jacob Blaha, and a strong top of the first. Jacob Blaha shut them down in the bottom of the first, and it seemed to be our game. North 2 fought back, taking the lead in the fourth inning. In the top of the fifth (last inning), Blaha got his second home run of the game, and we were able to take the lead with some patient batters and timely hitting. Jacob Byloo and Daniel Shoemaker shut the door in the bottom of the fifth, and the win was ours. The schedule continues, with a game on Sunday afternoon, and a game Monday night. The North 5 Red team is looking to get back to .500 with a win on Sunday against Lucan Ilderton (Chambers).
