North Mosquito red win big on strong pitching
It took a while for the bats to get going, but North Mosquito red finally rallied in the third inning (with two outs) to get the team in a position to win.
North mosquito red's offence struggled at the beginning, as they faced a strong pitcher from Lucan-Ilderton. Luckily we had our own pitcher throwing a lot of strikes, as Daniel Shoemaker kept our team in the game with a strong performance. Down 2-0 in the third, and with two out, North Mosquito red rallied with five runs on a number of walks.
Michael Ashton entered the game to pitch in the third and fourth, and was dynamite, shutting down the Lucan Ilderton team, and leaving little doubt about a North red win. In our last at-bat, North red had a lot of walks, but also big hits from Jacob Byloo and Daniel Shoemaker, to bring in a lot of runs. With five runs scored, the game ended after four (timed out), and North Mosquito red had a 10-2 win.
Next game is against Oakridge three on Monday night, at kensington park.
